Retrofit Clicks Building fabric & digital

About the company

A Slough contractor with a digital division attached.

Retrofit Clicks works on the fabric of buildings — plaster, render, insulation and finishes — and runs a separate commercial team doing SEO, websites and software. Both are part of the same registered company.

What we actually do

The trades come first.

The core of the business is hands-on contracting: interior multi-finish plastering, wall skimming, external rendering, and the internal decorative finishes that follow them, for residential and commercial renovations.

Around it sits the rest of the building offer. General property maintenance, because every renovation turns up jobs that do not belong to a single trade. Insulation measures — external wall, loft, cavity, underfloor — because a wall that is being re-rendered anyway is the cheapest moment to insulate it. And professional site surveys with detailed retrofit pricing, because owners deserve to see the cost of each measure separately before they commit to any of them.

And the digital division.

The company also operates a commercial digital division working with business clients on search engine optimisation and digital marketing. That means SEO audits, website optimisation and campaign management reported against enquiries rather than impressions — plus the web and software development work that tends to be needed once an audit finds the real problem.

It is an unusual pairing and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What the two sides share is the way they are sold: a look at what is actually there, a written scope, and a price agreed against it.

How we bill

All services are billed directly to homeowners and commercial clients, either as fixed-project contracts for building work or as service agreements for ongoing digital work.

How we work

Four things we hold to.

01

Look before pricing

Fabric work should not be quoted from a photograph. If the substrate is wrong the finish fails, and the finish is the part you paid for.

02

Price each measure separately

A retrofit report with one total tells you nothing. Splitting the cost by measure lets you drop the ones that do not earn their place.

03

Look after the property

Floors, fittings and furniture are protected, and the work area is left tidy. Most renovation happens around the things people own.

04

Check it with you

The finished work is walked round with you before the project is closed, and anything on the list is put right.
